What can your baby do this month?
This is the twelfth month of your baby. The helpless fragile infant has turned into a more independent and interesting little person. During this month your problem will be of what kind of cake to get to your baby’s first year and what to do on a special day. With those, you will find certain changes in your baby this month.
During this month your baby can do many things such as take the first step all by him or herself. This is the most important time for any parent. To see the once crawling baby walk around by his or her own and turn into a toddler. This action could be delayed in some babies and that is very normal. Let your baby cruise around the room until he or she learns to do the task on own.
The vocabulary would certainly be advanced at this age. Your baby will say more words; these are the words that you or your spouse uses most of the time. Like in other months during this month also the baby will enjoy reading and gradually learn to make sentences with a couple of words. These baby talk sentences are very entertaining. Your baby will enjoy these sentence formations as much as you do.
Even during this month, your baby will imitate you. So if you kiss your spouse bye when he is off to work your baby would want to do the same. If you pat your pet dog on the back the little one will do that too. Make sure that you don’t do risky actions such as dealing with the electric iron because this will fascinate your baby to do the same.
During this month your baby will drink off the cup without any help. Baby’s love doing new tasks gives the pleasure to your little one by doing new actions such as dancing to a nursery rhyme, string food and even building block houses.
Tips for parents this month
Your baby’s brain is also growing along with the age. Your baby will socialize and will enjoy working in groups. To encourage this try playing in groups with the little one and this won’t be very successful as your baby wouldn’t know how to play such games but encourage him/her nonetheless.
Involve your baby in certain actions such as pulling a train and pushing a car. Make it fun. This will help your baby to master the task. Also while doing these actions explain to the baby what you are doing like “I’m pulling the train”.
Offer the baby cups than the bottle. This will train your baby to use it when drinking and not always want the bottle.
Visit your dentist to ask how you could look after your baby’s teeth. It is important to keep them clean.
